Charlottesville downtown mall photography
I said I would share why I have been away from photography. The short version is that I had prostate cancer and surgery in November 2013. Please visit my new blog Dead Man Walking to find out the whole story. I now have a passion to help other men going through PCa, so please share!
Back to photography now!
It has been too long since I have felt like shooting. Fortunately, a friend needs some images for his new business site. (Thanks, Sean!) I started capturing some Charlottesville downtown mall photography last night. Thanks to my wife and dog who endured a too-late evening!
Best of the Bentley Collections
On Good Friday David Brown, architect and friend of the Bentley family, and I had the privilege of photographing some of Fred Bentley’s art collection at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.
I intended to simply photograph panoramic images of the art, but Mr. Bentley (“Uncle Fred” to his friends, and everyone is his friend!) happened to drop by to see the collection before the opening tomorrow. It was a pleasure to hear him describe some of his favorite pieces and learn about the artists.
David and I will return tomorrow evening to photograph the opening.

Jay Hare’s Birthday at Imperial Fez
Jay and Teddy invited Donna and me to join them and 13 of their friends at the Imperial Fez in Atlanta restaurant for an authentic Moroccan meal and celebration. Jay had so much fun with the dancers that he ripped his robe./
- O dark thirty in there, lots of motion, very high ISO, and lucky to get anything!
